  Terrible. Booked (and paid for) a room months ago and arrived from Australia to be told they didn't have the booking, or the payment. Proceeded to tell us we could have a room for 75 pounds for the night (we had booked for 6 nights). After being shown to the room we discovered no heating, no lights, no shower, a front door which hardly shut, and no apology. We decided to leave and head to Gloucester where we have got a much, much nicer room at The New County for 45 pounds a night.

  Just back from short break. And, have to say, couldn't wish for more! Room, service, views, food, ambiance all first class. Such a lovely relaxing stay. Can't wait to return.
